HOLMEWOOD GOOGLE GROUPS GUIDELINES
The HNA Committee administers the Holmewood Google Group and the HNA Conversation Group but does not pre-moderate as a rule. We want you to talk about what’s on your mind, but if a post is reported and/or falls into any of the categories below, we’ll have to take action. This may entail contacting the member responsible and may mean removing the offending post, the thread, or banning the member from the group temporarily or permanently. The Committee reserve the right to take what it considers to be the appropriate action and its decision is final.
This is a wonderful, diverse, friendly neighbourhood that at its core respects one another so only post comments that you would happily say to your neighbour(s) in person. We encourage conversation and debate on this page but we ask that you keep a measured and polite tone so that everyone feels able to participate.
We do not allow graphic, obscene, racist or discriminatory comments or submissions, nor do we allow comments that are abusive, hateful or intended to defame or libel anyone or any organisation.
We do not allow inflammatory, controversial messages intended to create discord and to upset others (trolling). Disagree with the post, not the poster. No personal attacks or insults will be tolerated.
We do not allow third party solicitations or advertisements. This includes promotion or endorsement of any financial, commercial or non-governmental agency. Similarly, we do not allow attempts to defame or defraud any financial, commercial or non-governmental agency.
We do not allow comments that suggest or encourage illegal activity.
You participate at your own risk, taking personal responsibility for your comments, your username and any information provided.
